It is in South America.
Angel Falls on the Churun River in Venezuela drops 3,212 feet (979m).
The falls are in an area of thick tropical rainforest.
The are named after an James A .Angel an American piolet.
He had to make a forced landing in his aeroplane there in 1937 and dicovered them by chance.
